The North Face has just announced a new race – in ATLANTA, GA. That’s so far away that it would take almost 2 days of driving non-stop to get there. So I think I’ll pass on it and focus on December in San Francisco.

Interview with a runner that has run for the last 3 1/2 years barefoot and just finished his 13th marathon barefoot (the LA Marathon).

Update: removed the video due to it auto playing, it was just annoying as the post moved down the page and you couldn’t figure out what was making the noise.

Note: I will no longer update this as we are now over the 200 limit so it’s not really that important. If you still want in then sign up but I assume there will be a wait list now.. or soon.

I got my email from the Escape team, and I have been draw out of the lottery for the second year running. Cool!

Now need to make time to get back in the pool and dial in some training for that race. The swim needs to be strong to set up a good position for the bike. The bike needs to be powerful and consistant and then it needs to be backed up with a solid fast run.

I’ll really need to think about fueling strategy due to the pace of the race and the difficult nature of the bike and where you can take in fuel.
